Your team
A team is your company on MinexMaps. People belong to it as Administrators or Members:
- Administrators invite and remove people, change roles, manage the team's maps (Manage maps), approve drill plans, and see the subscription.
- Members sign in and open the team's maps, see the team's Usage page and its members, and can send drill plans for approval.
To invite someone, open Team Settings in the menu (also under your team's name at the top of the menu), type their email under Invite Team Members, pick the role and press Send Invitation. They get an email with a link that works for 14 days (what they see). Until they accept, the invitation is listed under Pending Invitations with Resend Invitation and Cancel Invitation. To change someone's role or remove them, click their name under Team Members: Update Role or Remove from Team (you cannot change your own role). Your plan sets the number of seats: members and pending invitations each take one; people opening your portal or a share link do not.
Signing in
Sign in at Sign In with your email and password, or press Continue with Google if your email is a Google account (Gmail or Google Workspace). Google signs you in to the same MinexMaps account when the address matches. You can also connect a Google account from Profile > Sign-in Connections. New accounts still come only from an invitation: with Google, use the account of the address you were invited at. If you have two-factor authentication on, you are still asked for your code.
Your portal
Your maps are listed on your company's portal page, which MinexMaps builds for you (your logo, colours, tabs and cards). It has a secret link that opens it without an account: treat that link like a password. Members of your team see the same maps after signing in.
When you have several projects, the portal has a tab for each. Inside a tab, maps are grouped as interactive maps (open in a viewer), static maps (finished images and PDFs) and other links. Each map says whether it is Public (anyone can open it), Private (people with the portal link or a team login) or in Preview (only your map administrators see it, plus anyone signed in with the portal's internal review sign-in, if we set one up for you). When a map opens in two viewers, its card has a link for each: the Basic viewer is the simpler one and the Advanced viewer has the full layer list and tools; maps with drilling also open in Underground 3D. A map's saved views are listed under it, and every button has a Copy link beside it. As an administrator you also see a Settings link on each of your maps and an Admin tab listing them with their status.
The portal's sign-in
MinexMaps can add a sign-in to your portal (a user name and password we set for you, for example for a board or a data room):
- Internal review sign-in: at the bottom of the portal page. Whoever signs in also sees and opens the portal's maps still in preview, for 7 days or until the password changes.
- Sign-in required: the portal link alone then opens nothing; the page asks for the sign-in first, and every map on it needs that sign-in wherever it is opened (a copied link, an embed). Your team's administrators and MinexMaps staff are let through.
Five wrong tries lock the sign-in for 15 minutes. To change the password or switch the sign-in on or off, ask us.
Who signed in. Your portal can also ask each person for their name and work email after the shared password (and, if you want, a 6-digit code we email them); their browser then remembers them for 90 days. This step is off unless you ask us to turn it on. People signed in with their own MinexMaps account skip this step. We record who opens your maps and what they do in them (sign-ins, maps opened, layers, prints, questions to the map assistant), for your security; MinexMaps administrators keep this for 90 days (see the privacy notice). You see the names of the people who used your own share links.
Share links
A share link opens one map for someone without an account (an investor, a journalist, a partner), optionally until a date. Anyone holding the link can open that map, so send it only to the people who should see it. You make them yourself, on each map's settings page (Manage maps > the map's Settings > Share links):
- Make one: give it a name (who it is for, e.g. Investor day 2026), an expiry date if you want one (at most a year ahead; it works until the end of that day), and the viewer it opens in: the Basic viewer, the Advanced viewer or Underground 3D (the viewers your map offers). Press Make a share link.
- Copy it with the Copy button and send it.
- Switch it off at any time: it stops working within about a minute, also for people who opened it before. Switch on brings it back, unless it has expired (then make a new one).
- Opens and people: each link shows how many times it was opened. Under it, the people who used it: your team's accounts, and people who gave their name on your portal. Anyone else is counted, not named; we never show addresses or networks. Kept 90 days.
A map in preview opens through its links only once it is live. A map can have up to 25 links switched on, and your team can make up to 20 a day. Links MinexMaps made for you are on the same list. Every link made or switched is kept in the map's history.
What else you can share: your portal's link, the links of your saved views (each opens the map only for people who may already open it), and invitations to your team.
Who opened what
- Links and stats on each map: opens, visitors and the last open of every saved-view link, the opens of the map on your website, and the map's visitors over 30 days by portal.
- Share links on each map's settings: each link's opens and the people who used it (above).
- Usage: each map's visitors and opens this month.
- Beyond your share links you see counts, not people: other names, and every address and network, stay with MinexMaps (see our privacy page).
What people can see
- Only the maps they were given: a portal, a share link, an embed or their team's maps.
- Maps cannot be downloaded as data; identify results and image sizes are capped.
- Removing someone, cancelling an invitation or switching a link off takes effect within about a minute.
The public demo
The demo map on our home page is open to anyone after a quick bot check. Your maps are never public unless you ask for a public press-release map.
